Inner Mongolia train now freed

Posted in

I followed with interest the Shanghai Daily news about the train stuck in the snow in North China's Inner Mongolia Region a few days ago. The 1400 passengers and crew were trapped and had to be rescued.

It was only 2008 when I travelled across Trans-Siberia on a photo assignment to visit the Harbin Ice Festival which us very close to where the train got stuck. For me, although it was in the minus 20c, I was pleased with the train service. I think our train companies need to take a few lessons.

Don't forget to look at my Siberia 2008 photos.
